摘要:Potassium alunite is a potential mineral resource of potassium and aluminum. The seeded precipitation of Al(OH)3 is a significant process in the recovery of aluminum from potassium alunite with a gradient leaching method using alkaline solution. In this work, the effects of the alkali concentration, molecular ratio, stirring rate, initial temperature, and seed coefficient on the precipitation ratio and average particle size of the Al(OH)3 product in the seeded precipitation from potassium aluminate solution were investigated. The key factors affecting seeded precipitation, such as the alkali concentration, molecular ratio, initial temperature, and seed coefficient, are optimized using the orthogonal testing method, which takes the precipitation ratio and the average particle size distribution of the product as optimization objectives. Under the optional precipitation conditions of alkali concentration 200 g/L, molecular ratio 1.5, seed coefficient 1.0, and initial temperature 343.15 K, the precipitation ratio exceeds 54% and the average particle size of the Al(OH)3 product reaches 114 μm. ? 2022, The Authors.
