摘要：中美无论是合作还是斗争,都将是世界的主角。进入新世纪之后,中国的崛起打破了冷战后美国独霸全球的格局,中美关系的重要性更加凸显,它在很大程度上决定了世界未来的走向与前景。两国实力的彼消此长将逐渐引起权力变更,导致战略互疑成为目前中美关系的新常态,并贯穿于经济、政治、文化(价值)、军事、外交等多个层面。中美要避免战略互疑升级为战略对抗,构建一种新型大国关系,增加合作、减少互疑是现实的选择,中美关系要继续朝良性发展需要两国领导人展现出足够的智慧、意志和决心。
China and the United States, whether they are in a cooperative or competitive relationship, will always play the leading roles on the world stage. As the rising of China since the beginning of the new century has been threatening the dominant position of USA in the world, the relationship between the two countries is becoming more and more important and will decide to a large extent the future trend of the whole world. The trading off of the two countries＂ strength will gradually lead to the shift in power and make strategic mutual suspicion the new normal of China-US relationship, which is spreading to multiple facets of economy, politics, culture （values）, the military and foreign affairs. In order to keep the strategic mutual suspicion from upgrading to strategic confrontation, and to build a new pattern of relationship between great powers, a realistic choice for the two countries is to increase cooperation and reduce mutual suspicion. The benign development of China-US relationship requires the leaders of both countries to show adequate wisdom, will power and determination.
