摘要：NOVELTY - (E)-2-((2-(4-Phenylthiazol-2-yl)hydrazono)methyl)benzoic acid compounds (I) and their salts, prodrug and solvate are new. USE - (I) are useful in preparing medicine for treating and preventing dihydroorotate dehydrogenase-mediated disease including organ transplant rejection, bacterial infections, parasitic diseases, viral diseases, (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus and psoriasis as autoimmune diseases) or tumors; and inhibiting dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (all claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - (E)-2-((2-(4-Phenylthiazol-2-yl)hydrazono)methyl)benzoic acid compounds of formula (I) and their salts, prodrug and solvate are new. R1 = H, halo (F, Cl or Br), 1-6C alkyl or 1-6C haloalkyl; R2 = H, 1-10C alkyl or 1-10C haloalkyl, 1-10C alkoxy or 1-10C haloalkoxy, hydroxy 1-6C alkyl or hydroxy 1-6C haloalkyl; R3 = H, 1-6C alkyl or 1-6C haloalkyl; R4 = H, halo (F, Cl or Br), 1-6C alkyl or 1-6C haloalkyl, 1-6C alkoxy or 1-6C haloalkoxy; m = 0-3; R5 = H, halo (F, Cl or Br), OH, NR6R7, 1-6C alkoxy or 1-6C haloalkoxy; and R6 and R7 = H, 1-3C alkyl or 1-3C haloalkyl. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for method of treating or preventing dihydroorotate dehydrogenase-mediated disease using (I) comprising administering (I) to a subject.
