摘要:NOVELTY - Catalyst comprises carrier and active component, where active component is loaded on the carrier. The active component is cesium chloride, potassium chloride or rubidium chloride. USE - Catalyst used for preparing vinylidene chloride by vapor phase catalytic cracking of trichloroethane (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst is suitable for industrial use because trichloroethane has conversion rate greater than 23.8% and selectivity greater than 87.7% during cracking reaction. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing catalyst, which involves: (A) dissolving cesium nitrate, potassium nitrate or rubidium nitrate into saturated solution at less than 80 degrees C; (B) soaking the solution on a carrier at 80-90 degrees C; (C) drying the soaked solution for 20-28 hours at 50-70 degrees C; (D) heating the product for 10-24 hours at 500-550 degrees C; (E) procesing the heated product with steam containing hydrogen chloride and the nitrogen for 15-28 hours at 10-30 degrees C; and (F) putting the processed product in a vacuum chamber, which is dried for 20-28 hours to obtain the catalyst.
