摘要：NOVELTY - Preparation of aralkyl acyloxy acetaldehyde comprises using oxalic aldehyde as starting material, reacting the oxalic aldehyde with alcohol to form oxalic aldehyde monoacetal mixture, reducing directly the obtained oxalic aldehyde monoacetal mixture, separating the mixture to form 2,2-dialkoxy-ethanol, and purifying, acylating and carrying out de-protection to the 2,2-dialkoxy-ethanol to obtain the target product. USE - The process is useful for preparing aralkyl acyloxy acetaldehyde (claimed).
