摘要:In the last two decades, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) has attracted considerable attention. POSS molecules can be modified into a variety of POSS derivatives based on their corner groups. POSS molecule has been considered to be the promising material in biological fields, according to the unique structure and properties of POSS derivatives. This chapter gives some examples to describe the construction and properties of POSS-containing bioconjugates based on peptides/proteins, carbohydrates, and DNA, and highlights their potential applications as biomedical devices, tissue engineering materials, dental materials, drug delivery, and biological images. The preparation and application of well-defined POSS-containing bioconjugates with other architectures needs to be explored in the future. ? 2014 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. All rights reserved.
