摘要：本文从定义、前后语言单位的语义关系、结构形式、各自在两种语言中的地位及作用等方面对比了Antithesis与对偶异同，指出不应单纯地把这两种修辞手段等同起来。这一点有助于更好地认识英汉语在修辞方面的不同。
The paper makes a contrastive study on the differences between antithesis and the Chinese rhetorical figure-'Dui Ou' in their definitions,semantic relations between their components,constructions and the status in their languages.The study aims at exploring the differences between English and Chinese rhetorical figures.
