摘要：At the network level, populations of neurons have been observed to make upward and downward transitions synchronously. This paper focuses on the neurodynamics of these transitions in a network model which consists of 25 neurons in the network. We study the spontaneous transitions between up and down states and the ones induced by external inputs. We also compare these results with the results of a single neuron model, trying to find out the function of the cortex and the mechanism of how our brains work.
