摘要：文内重复可分为语言重复和结构重复。前者表现在构词方法、搭配习惯、衔接手段等三方面,后者表现形式为平行结构。文外重复主要表现在比喻、文学典故、习语的使用上。相比之下,汉语在文内文外均具有很强的重复机制。通过对比,本文提出了建立在包括语言和结构重复基础上的汉语语篇连接方式。
This paper makes a contrastive study of English and Chinese textual connective devices in the light of intratextual and extratextual repetitions. Intratextual repetitions can be divided into language repetitions and structure repetitions, of which the former may be observed in terms of word formations, collocation features, and cohesive devices, and the latter in terms of parallel structures. Extratextual repetitions can be studied in the use of metaphors, literary allusions, and idioms. A very powerful repetition mechanism in Chinese accounts for the differences between English and Chinese textual connective devices.
