摘要:The second part of the guided wave based structural health monitoring of pressure vessel mainly focuses on investigating the influencing factors of damage localization accuracy. The PZT array, excitation frequency, damage location, and distance between different PZT wafers on the damage localization accuracy of the pressure vessel are discussed. In order to analysis the PZT distance on the damage localization result of the head and cylinder section of the pressure vessel, we decrease the amplitude of incident wave to simulate the guided wave propagating in the pressure vessel with different diameters and axial lengths. The method is then verified by experimental results in the damage localization of the pressure vessel with different dimensions. Results show that the PZT array with 8 PZT on circumference and 1 PZT on the vertex of the head has the maximum accuracy for a vessel with diameter of 325 mm. The damage localization error is the minimum and the effective localization is the maximum when the wave frequency is 210 kHz and 220 kHz. The radial direction of the damage has less influence on the localization result, while the accuracy is higher when the damage is located on the excitation-receiver path. The experimental and computing results by the proposed method match well, and the damage localization accuracy decreasing sharply when the according A0 amplitude of the propagating distance is less than 5. ? 2020 Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
