摘要：Formal recyclers with recycling authorisation from the government face incomplete competition from informal recyclers, who only recycle high-value recyclables, in promoting the sorting and recycling of household recyclables. To explore the optimal pricing strategy selection of the formal recycler, we consider the residents' environmental awareness and model a Nash equilibrium game involving a formal recycler with both cost disadvantages and environmental advantages and an informal recycler. Our findings show that the formal recycler with the tiered pricing strategy can exert competitive pressure on the informal recycler without recycling them when residents' environmental awareness is between two thresholds. However, such indirect competitive pressure may never exist when the formal recycler with a significant cost disadvantage adopts the uniform pricing strategy. Additionally, a moderate degree of environmental awareness will induce the formal recycler to adopt the tiered pricing strategy for higher total profit or more high-value recyclables collection. However, doing so may harm the acquisition volume of the whole recyclables market when the environmental awareness is sufficiently high. Furthermore, the formal or informal recyclers' acquisition price of the high-value recyclables will be abruptly elevated as the formal recycler with the uniform pricing strategy begins to recycle high-value recyclables.
