摘要：本研究以71名小学汉语儿童为研究对象,着重考察了英语语音加工技能、单词解码和一般认知能力对其英语读写发展水平的预测作用及其作用路径。结果表明,音位辨析与删除能显著地解释汉语儿童英语读写发展;一般认知能力和假词拼读经由音位辨析与删除对汉语儿童英语读写发展产生间接影响。因此,在汉语儿童英语早期读写教学中,应重视英语音位辨析与操控训练,提升对英语语音的拆分合并能力及对英语语音的类比、归纳、推理意识,进而帮助其有效地运用形—音对应规则发展英语读写能力。
This study examines the roles and interplay of English phonological processing skills,word decoding and general cognitive ability in EFL Chinese children.Results based on 71 primary school students indicates that phonemic detection and deletion significantly account for unique variance in English literacy development after controlling for general cognitive ability;word decoding and generative cognitive ability have indirect effects on English literacy development via phonemic detection and deletion.It is concluded that,in EFL teaching,we should attach importance to increasing L2 children’s capacity of discriminating and manipulating phonemes through multiple training with an aim at enhancing their skills in phonological segmentation and blending,thus helping them employ the correspondence rules effectively to develop their literacy development.
