摘要:In order to further their digitalization objectives and encourage the growth of the manufacturing sector, nations all over the world are increasingly choosing to cultivate composite and inventive engineering talent with both professional and digital competencies. Nonetheless, there remains disagreement among academics over the meaning and components of digital competency. In order to analyze the three aspects of competence definition, element composition, and topic differences, the study employs the literature review technique and focuses on the definition and components of digital competence of engineering abilities. A five-dimensional consensus on technical hard skills, transversal soft skills, management coordination skills, cultural responsibility, and continuous learning and adaptability is formed by the elements of competence, according to the study, which also reveals that different framework developers have different priorities for the digital competency of engineering talents. Through the study, the article seeks to help the development of engineering talent's digital competency. ? 2025 IEEE.
