摘要:原子转移自由基聚合(ATRP)是高分子化学领域的最新进展之一。ATRP的独特之处在于使用了卤代烷作引发剂,并用过渡金属催化剂或退化转移的方式,有效地抑止了自由基双基终止反应。ATRP可以同时适用于非极性和极性单体,如苯乙烯、二烯烃类和(甲基)丙烯酸酯类单体,可以制备多种结构形式的结构清晰的(well-define)高分子化合物,可望在热塑性弹性体、粘合剂、表面活性剂、分散剂、特种助剂、工程树脂、油漆和涂料等领域获得应用。
Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) is a very important development in polymer chemistry recently. The feature of ATRP is chain propagation by way of transfer of halide atom with or without the catalysis of transition metal compounds. The termination reaction between radicals is reduced by low concentration of free radicals under the control of the fast transfer. A variety of monomers including styrene,acrylates, methacrylates,and dienes can be used in this technique. ATRP is a simple and inexpensive process for controlled“living”radical po1ymerization leading to well-defined homopolymers and copolymers. Potential applications of ATRP include thermoplastic elastomers,adhesives,surfactants,dispersants,lubricants,engineering resins,paints,and coatings.
