摘要：The specialty of pharmaceutical engineering is one branch of chemical engineering. A course in pharmaceutical preparation engineering is a key one in educating students in the specialty. In the course of Pharmaceutical Preparation Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in Shanghai, People's Republic of China, there are three parts including theoretical teaching, a series of engineering lectures and practice teaching (plant design and bachelor design). The basic content is a preparation process with equipment that should be well understood by every pharmacy student. Good Manufacture Practice (GMP) is the core content that embodies total process systems engineering. Design practice is the target content developed with pharmaceutical companies and pharmaceutical equipment companies. In order to encourage students to adopt a particular, systematic approach to their entire professional practice, pharmaceutical engineering education in China must keep pace with the current challenges and progress.
