摘要:NOVELTY - An esterification multimetal solid acid catalyst comprises metal supported sulfuric acid-based titanium dioxide. USE - Esterification multimetal solid acid catalyst used for catalytic esterification of polyol ester as lubricating base oil and monobasic acid esterification of monohydric alcohol (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst is easy to recover and capable of simple esterification process of polyol ester product high viscosity index of not less than 100, and it has low production costs. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) preparation of catalyst comprising hydrothermally reacting titanium tetrachloride with in-situ doped metal and load material, and acidifying until titanium content is 1 -20% and doped metal content is 0.1-10%; (2) catalytic esterification of polyol ester comprising esterifying hydroxyl-containing polyol compound, preferably carboxylic acids but not limited to oleic acid, isononanoic acid and ethylhexanoate with 0.1-5 wt.% catalyst at esterification rate of not less than 80%; and (3) monobasic acid esterification of monohydric alcohol comprising esterifying monobasic acid including but not limited to acetic acid, propionic acid and acrylic acid with monohydric alcohol including but not limited to propyl alcohol and butyl alcohol in the presence of 0.1-5 wt.% catalyst at esterification rate of not less than 80%. The doped metal is iron, tin or zinc. The load material is spherical alumina or mesoporous material.
