摘要:A series of amino polysiloxanes with different degrees of branching were designed and synthesized by the hydrolytic condensation reactions among siloxane monomers in order to investigate the relationship between molecular structures and properties of epoxy coatings made from an epoxy resin and the polysiloxanes. The results show that the epoxy coatings exhibit good mechanical properties (especially wear resistance), excellent corrosion resistance, outstanding UV aging resistance, and thermal properties. Furthermore, the wear and corrosion resistances, UV aging resistance, thermal properties of the epoxy coatings increase although the toughness of the coatings slightly reduces with the degree of branching of the amino polysiloxanes increasing. Particularly, the epoxy coating with about 70% degree of branching (DGEHBA-BAPS-70-C) displays superior comprehensive properties with the abrasion value 14 mg after 1000 friction cycles, the impedance modulus | Z|f=0.01Hz 7.08 & times;108 Omega & sdot;cm2 after 21 days of immersion, and Td5 311 degrees C. The UV aging test demonstrates that the hardness and adhesion strength of the epoxy coatings remain basically unchanged after the artificial accelerated weathering aging tests for 500 h. This study would provide an optimized strategy for the molecular design of high-performance epoxy coatings, and be expected to be used in the development of coatings with wear, corrosion, and UV aging resistances.
