摘要:For evaluating and monitoring the hydrogen induced mechanical degradation of metal components,it is very important to determine the hydrogen concentration in petrochemical devices. The ultrasonic surface wave at a frequency of 20MHz was used to investigate the relationship between its attenuation and the hydrogen in the stainless steel in this paper. The microstructure of the samples as well as its microhardness changing before and after hydrogen charging were also used to examine the samples. The results showed that attenuation coefficient versus the charged hydrogen has an approximately exponential relationship,and the former correlates with and is sensitive to the latter and increases up to a maximum with the charged hydrogen approaching saturated.
