摘要:Durability is essential for practical applications of superhydrophobic coatings. Here, siloxane/polyurea superhydrophobic coatings are fabricated via a convenient microphase separation method and armour protection strategy. Due to the incompatibility between the hard and soft segments, the dissimilar siloxane/polyurea chains microphase separate into different microdomains. It is found that the surface morphology and wettability are both influenced by the content of aminopropyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane (ATPDMS) and the type of diisocyanate (isophorone diisocyanate, aliphatic diisocyanate). The micrometer-scale folds and tiny bumps are formed on the surface of the ATPDMS0.3-HPUA, and the contact angles of coating reached 154 degrees. Owing to the protection of epoxy grooved armour, the coating retains its superhydrophobic properties even undergoing sandpaper abrasion, tape peeling, bending, sand and water impact tests. Moreover, the coating exhibits superior chemical stability with CAs of 151 degrees after 12 h of immersion in pH 2 to 12 acid or alkali solutions.
