摘要：Australia is at the forefront of global mining, and its mining environmental policies and measures have been emulated by other countries. This article reviews the development and environmental protection of Australian mining industry in different stages, elaborates on the characteristics of each stage, and finds that mining development and its related environmental protection constantly interact with each other, either positively or negatively. Ultimately, mining can develop into an ecological sustainable model. This model requires the gradual establishment of a managerial, economic, and voluntary cooperation mechanism, where governments, mining companies, and community groups play a joint role. This provides some implications for other resource-based countries in terms of the mining industry development and related environmental protection. ? (2023) by Aussino Academic Publishing House.
