摘要:The effect of a single cylinder with a periodic open cellular structure (POCS) on the enhancement of bub-ble breakup behavior and particle entrainment by wakes was investigated through numerical simula-tions. The feasibility of applying the POCS to control the bubble breakup behavior was systematically analyzed and discussed. The results showed that the broken bubbles split into two small bubbles of equal size, and the repulsion between the small bubbles led to a reverse movement, which greatly inhibited particle entrainment. The entrained particle number decreased with an increase in bubble breakup time. The bubble breakup behavior was related to the shape oscillation as it passed through the cylinder with constant wettability. Breakup behavior occurred when the shape oscillation was in the extension stage. The presence of internal particles had a significant effect on inhibiting particle entrainment.(c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd.
