摘要:With the rapid development of optical communication and integrated optics, the investigation of glass waveguides, especially nonlinear glass waveguides, becomes more and more important. In this paper, K+-Ag+ ion exchange behaviours of chalcohalide glasses at 270 degrees C in GeS2-Ga2S3-AgX (X=Cl, Br, I) glasses were investigated, with potassium oleate as the molten salt and nitrogen as the protecting gas. Bulk glass samples were prepared by direct melting. The depth of the K+ reached up to 256 mu m in 50GeS(2)-25Ga(2)S(3)-25AgI glass. The depth of the exchange, the coefficient of effective diffusion and ion concentration of K+-Ag+ were studied. Based on the ion exchange investigation, the fabrication of chalcogenide glass optical waveguides can be furthered.
